The Company
Accsys Technologies PLC patents and licenses globally a proprietary process which modifies sustainably grown softwood to render it at least as durable and stable as the best tropical hardwoods. The brand name of this remarkable product is Accoya® and the first commercial manufacturing plant was opened in the Netherlands in 2007. Development of the technology began 15 years ago and the operating company, Titan Wood, was established in 2003.
For many construction applications where appearance matters, such as windows, doors, cladding, decking, etc, Accoya® wood performs better than hardwood and many alternative materials.
The Challenge
Accsys is a dispersed organisation with some 70 employees and a global footprint, which would entail very high call costs with a traditional telephone solution.
It is a true virtual organisation: the Chairman is in Geneva, the Chief Executive is frequently in Dallas, the Chief Financial Officer in London, licensing managers are in Chile, China, the Middle East, the Netherlands, France and Italy plus several UK locations and the manufacturing plant is in the Netherlands.
Good communications are therefore essential and professionalism is very important to the company.
When the UK Head Office of the company recently moved to west London, they wanted to install good communications with sophisticated functionality, low costs and which would enable a seamless transition from their previous locations.
